Husband to wife:
Florence Knoll is one of the few women to have studied and excelled in design. She studied in several schools and collaborated with a variety of artists, sharing her passion with her husband, Hans Knoll. Her furniture, including the Storage Cabinet, was designed to be useful in the home.
Florence Knoll developed a philosophy of creating simple products: minimalist with a touch of rationalism. The Storage Cabinet has a square, concise shape and is built from various materials. It comes in different models with different sections and the shelves are solid. Practical for all the family, the drawers and doors also come in several forms. Available in plastic, marble, mahogany, ebony, aluminium or lacquer, all of which harmonise perfectly with the model. Different colours are available. Generally, the unit is also covered with transparent polyester. Great care is taken when varnishing the wood with polyurethane to make it shine. The legs are also polished and come in chrome-plated steel or plastic. While the model has been improved over time, the basic design is still simple and uncluttered.
Florence Knoll amazed the world with this simple work.
